VIA Criterium: A spectacular cycling celebration in London's King's Cross

VIA, in partnership with Argent, King's Cross Estates, and British Cycling, presents the VIA Criterium on 22-23 July. This exciting celebration of cycling promises an action-packed weekend of races and community activities. A festival of racing

From 11am to 9.30pm, the VIA Criterium will thrill attendees with a diverse range of races for all ages and skill levels. Watch as talented junior cyclists showcase their potential, cheer on folding bike racers, and be amazed by the finesse of wheelie demonstrations. The highlight of the event will be the Nat B women's and men's races, featuring elite riders competing against regional athletes.

A scenic circuit

Designed in collaboration with British Cycling, the VIA Criterium circuit traverses the historic streets of King's Cross. Over 80% of the course provides excellent viewing access for both spectators and broadcasters. With a strong emphasis on safety, this circuit ensures an immersive and exciting experience for all attendees.

Promoting health, fitness, and community

VIA is dedicated to promoting health, fitness, and environmental initiatives. In partnership with charities, local officials, and the City of London, the VIA Criterium offers a safe and closely monitored environment for people of all ages to enjoy cycling. Activities cater to everyone, including a dedicated area for toddlers on Balance Bikes, children's skills sessions, and demo rides for those interested in trying cycling firsthand.

11:55 - Test Ride (Opportunity to test ride your dream bike on the circuit) - 30 minutes

12:40 - Women's 3/4 - 40 minutes

13:35 - Men's 3/4 - 40 minutes

14:30 - Men's 3/4 - 40 minutes

15:25 - KX Community Race - 30 minutes (Go-Race format)

16:10 - Le Mans Folding Bike - 30 minutes

16:55 - Masters Open 50yrs+ - 40 minutes

17:50 - PAS Race - 60 minutes

18:50 - Jake 100 X OTS: No Front Wheel Race - 2 laps

19:15 - Das Women's Elite - 60 minutes

20:30 - Das Men's Elite - 60 minutes

Day 2 – Sunday 23 July

Sunday will be devoted to the community, with VIA-led bike rides, city tours, closed road activities and a number of workshops, covering essential bike maintenance (how to fix a puncture, how to check cables, maintaining brakes etc).
